A week of events focused on LGBTQ+ suicide prevention, education, & community.

Candle Vigil, Ages: All Ages
Sunday, March 26th, 4pm-6pm
This entirely FREE, community-style event for allies and LGBTQ+ members of all ages.
We start our ‘Good to Be Here’ week by taking a moment, a pause - to remember and celebrate our friends, family, and loved ones that we have lost to suicide. Join us, in this community setting, as we come together to honor, share our stories, and lean on one another.

We will hold space for anyone who might want to share a memory or story with the group.
​
AFSP: Talk Saves Lives, Ages: 18 & UP
Tuesday, March 28th, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Young: Equal and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention are partnering to host an introduction to suicide prevention in the LGBTQ+ community.
​
This is a community-based presentation that covers what we know about this leading cause of death, the most up-to-date research on prevention, and what we can all do to fight suicide.
​
This presentation is FREE - but seating is limited, so please RSVP to save your spot.

It’s Real: Teens & Mental Health, Ages: 14-18
Wednesday, March 29th, 4:30p-6:30p
Young: Equal and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention are partnering to host a program on teens and mental health.
​
Intended for teens, ages from 14 to 18, It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health is a program that provides young people with mental health education and resources. The program raises awareness about mental health issues, how to start a conversation about mental health, the importance of self-care, and how to reach out for help.
​
This presentation is FREE - but seating is limited, so please RSVP to save your spot.
Good to Be Here NEON DAY, Ages: All Ages
Thursday, March 30th
Help us remind the LGBTQ+ community that it’s Good to Be Here. No matter where you are, no matter who you are, join us on NEON Day by raising awareness!
School, work, hanging with friends – it doesn’t matter where you are today, just wear NEON to raise awareness on suicide prevention and start conversations about why it’s GOOD TO BE HERE!

Good to Be Here Festival, Ages: 13-24

This entirely FREE, community-style event for allies and LGBTQ+ members ages 13-17 & 18-24.
Join other LGBTQ+ Teens & Young Adults as we gather for the Good to Be Here festival at The Art Houz Theaters.

Play games, meet friends, connect with resources, watch a movie... It's your night - have fun! We're just glad you are HERE!

Queer Movie Night, Ages: 13-17 & 18-24
Friday, March 31st, 6pm-9pm
This entirely FREE, community-style event for allies and LGBTQ+ members ages 13-17 & 18-24.

Join together with other LGBTQ+ Teens & Young Adults as we gather for a private screening of one of our favorite queer movies; Everyone's Talking About Jamie.
The event is totally free - but due to limited seats only those who RSVP will be able to join us.
