Crafternoon
Ages: 13-17 & 18-24

Join Young: Equal for a TOTE-ally creative Crafternoon with friends, led by the amazing Bridget Stern! Let your creativity flow as you design and paint a reusable canvas tote. Using paints, stencils, and stamps, you'll create a functional piece of art and leave with a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted bag to show off and use every day. Materials and expertise will be provided - you get to show up, make the things, and hang with friends! This event is FREE and open to LGBTQ+ people & allies aged 13-17 & 18-24. Beat the summer heat and join us for bowling! We've got a few lanes reserved and we'll have pizza, soft drinks, and arcade credits for each attendee. Join our Young: Equal community for our pottery workshop with Peter Thaddeus! Peter will expertly guide us as we use clay to create pottery that we'll get to take home. Queer Your Closet

Want to add some pizzazz to your closet?? Queer your closet among friends at our event where you can make a piece uniquely yours using embellishment techniques, DIY patchwork, tie-dye, sewing, bleach painting, and adding hardware like grommets and chains. Materials and instruction on different techniques will be provided, so don't feel intimidated if you're a novice. This event is FREE and open to LGBTQ+ people & allies aged 13-17 & 18-24.
