Young: Equal is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as General Volunteers. As a General Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in organizing and supporting our events, contributing to the success of our mission to foster equality and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community. Our Mission:

We are driven with the purpose to create environments that promote self-acceptance, community, and love for the LGBTQ+ community. Young: Equal works with teen & young adult members of the LGBTQ+ community through creative arts & recreation to reaffirm the importance of one’s own identity. Through creative arts, recreation, and social media, Young: Equal creates safe spaces that set the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ teens & young adults as our top priority.

Responsibilities:

·      Assist with event setup and teardown, including arranging seating, decorations, and equipment.

·      Welcome and register attendees upon arrival.

·      Provide information and guidance to attendees as needed.

·      Support event coordinators in various tasks throughout the event.

·      Help ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Qualifications:

·      Passion for promoting equality and inclusivity.

·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·      Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

·      Reliability and punctuality.

·      No previous volunteer experience required, just a willingness to make a positive impact.

Time Commitment:

Volunteer shifts will vary depending on the event schedule. We appreciate any amount of time you can contribute, whether it's for a few hours or a full day.
